TapTrip - Dare to be Different

Corporate business travel - 3 words that traditionally don’t inspire or spark creativity, but for TapTrip, that’s just challenge to overcome. In a competitive market TapTrip wanted to use their quirky and remarkable personality to make noise, be seen and showcase their incredible services.

 
 

The Brief

 

They wanted to create a video that set out their stall in a fun, creative and unique way; different to anything or anyone in their sector. The brief gave us a lot of scope to flex our creative muscles, push ourselves and challenge the status quo. The idea was simple - show all the key features of the app and the customer journey. Before taking the plunge we spent time getting under the bonnet of the business and understanding how they operate. Next, we looked at casting. Business travel and drag queens are seldom mentioned in the same breath, however we cast a protagonist made famous by Ru Pauls Drag race UK, Davina Di Campo. 

We next looked at the approach. We looked at merging live action and animation, by using green screen and rotoscoping. We were able to shoot on location in Manchester but position our protagonist all over the globe.  The end result was a well crafted narrative that clearly shows the USP’s of TapTrip in a fun and creative way.
